My scarf!
September 19, 2007 posted 10:02pm
Ok, ok! I finally have a picture of me in the scarf that Pow made me!!! I convinced Bumperboy to take out his camera to get this photo taken. Hooray! Isn't it great? And now that fall is practically here, I can finally wear it and I can keep warm on blustery days like these! I really like these autumn days with the orange leaves beginning to fall.

Hi Again
July 17, 2007 posted 3:30pm
Oh boy, it's been a while since I last blogged, eh? And lots has happened since then. For one thing, a whole season (spring) has passed. Spring was nice. Oh, remember that scarf that Pow was working on for me? Well she finished it! And I love it! Too bad it's too warm to wear it now. Hmm, I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but I'll try to do that soon. It deserves to be seen! Also, one funny thing I did was help Bumperboy learn how to ride a bike! My cousin Oscar was appalled to learn that Bumperboy never learned how to ride a bike, so we decided to teach him. Ha ha, it was a funny sight!

Brrrrrrr...
February 28, 2007 posted 10:01pm
It's chilly outside, here in Bubtopia! I spend most of these cold days cuddled up in my blanket with a cup of hot cocoa and a good comic book, and of course I'm wearing my thickest socks. I've been catching a lot of colds this winter season, so it has been a little miserable at times. Pow told me that she has been a bit concerned, so she said she is making me a new scarf. I guess there is a little surprise about the scarf because she won't tell me what it looks like so far. She kind of makes me a tad nervous. What will the scarf look like? What if it's ugly? What if it's purple, which is my least favorite color? What if...ah never mind. I'm sure it'll be nice. Anyway, back to my hot cocoa and my book.

Thinking about otters...
January 30, 2007 posted 10:21am
You know, going to the aquarium got me all interested in learning more about sea creatures. One animal that really took my interest is the sea otter. Did you know that sea otters have the densest fur of any mammal? They can have up to one million hairs in one square inch of fur! For all my readers out there on Earth, to compare, humans only have 20,000 hairs on their entire head! That got me thinking...I wonder if I am somehow related to a sea otter. I can keep incredibly warm on cool days without the aid of a jacket. Yes, I do need my socks, but that is a hereditary condition that my family and I have...we were born with cold feet! Anyway, if you want to read more about sea otters, you can go to this link here!

Trip to the aquarium
January 17, 2007 posted 5:56pm
So Bumperboy and Bumperpup invited me to take a road trip to the aquarium in Monterey, California. We've heard that they have the coolest, weirdest, rarest fish, so we had to check it out. Boy, was it fun! We saw everything from tiny little seahorses to the great white shark! I was really intrigued by the ocean sunfish. Have you ever seen one before? They are so strange looking. Here is the picture that Bumperboy took of the sunfish. Check out that eye and mouth! You can't tell from the picture, but it was huge. Going to the aquarium makes me want to learn more about these creatures! Maybe I'll drop by the library tomorrow and find some books.

Happy 2007!

Hey, it's my first post of the new year! Hurrah! My New Years Eve started out as a drag. I was not feeling very well, so I decided to stay home and get some good rest. I'm not a big fan of New Years parties anyway. But Bumperboy and the gang thought otherwise, so they decided to bring the party to me! All of them came over, brought drinks and food and everyone had a blast...except for me! I was super tired and really wanted to get some rest, but oh well. I thought it was really nice that they thought of me and didn't want me to feel left out.

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Has it really been more than a year since my last blog post? I'm afraid it has, and I apologize for it! I guess I just got lazy. But there is one good reason why I am writing here today...I got a new laptop computer for Christmas! Hooray! My mom and dad sent it over and I just received the package today. It's a little late, but I don't care! It's fast, has a lot of disk space, and can handle all the online broadcasts of international marble tournaments! Of course, I also got some socks from my mom and dad...they're a little bit on the gaudy side, but any socks are good socks in my book!

Anyway, hopefully my new laptop will encourage me to blog more often. Perhaps Bumperboy will let me borrow his camera sometimes and I can post pictures...

After a pretty chilly summer in the Land of Bubtopia, it has strangely warmed up in the past few days! I spent some time in the fresh air, reading under the trees outside of my house. Then Bumperboy and Bumperpup dropped by and ended up hanging out under the trees too! Soon after that, my cousin Oscar passed by as he was on his way to do his homework at the library, but instead he ended up doing his homework with us. I helped him with his math...gosh, if only life were as easy as addition and subtraction. It was a fun day under the sun, but it probably won't last. The real autumn should move in any day now.

Have you all ever played badminton? Whew, what a workout! Bumperboy, Bumperpup, Pow, Oscar, and I all went to Bubtopia Park to play marbles--but instead, we bought some racquets and played badminton! It was a blast! But I did accidentally hit the birdie into Pow's face...I thought she was going to punch me back to get even! But she didn't. Whew.

So I just found out that Bumperboy and Bumperpup are going to New York City...AGAIN! Man, those guys travel a lot. They'll be leaving in just about a week. Guess I'll have to go rent some movies from the video store soon. I'll probably be spending a lot of time at home by myself. Does anyone have any movie suggestions?

Oh no!! I forgot that yesterday was National FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! AAARRGGH! I can't believe I forgot about it. I was so busy re-organizing my sock drawer until I received a visit from Bumperboy. He came over with a huge stack of free comic books that he was able to pick up! Boo hoo. Well, at least he promised to let me borrow his free comics. Next year, I shall not forget!

I'm sorry everyone, but I've decided to stop blogging. I feel like it is taking too much time to figure out what I want to say, when I've got other things to do in my day. So, this will be my last blog entry. Sorry guys.

Oh and one more thing...APRIL FOOLS!! ha ha ha! I'm just kidding! Ha ha....does anyone even read this? Um...anyone?

2.28.05 posted 9:45pm
Yes, I still love the library. "Socks From Around the World" was great! Highly recommended for the sock connoisseur. Bumperboy got me hooked on borrowing some books that I've never read before...like Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind...such beautiful ink drawings!! Pow came with me to the library yesterday and she got "The History of Boxing" and the biography of Cassius Clay. She is a boxing nut.

2.2.05 posted 5:55pm
I have been addicted to the library as of late! I just rediscovered the joy of borrowing books, DVDs, and CDs--all for free!!! Plus, they've got graphic novels!!! I also just convinced Bumperboy to renew his library card. Right now, he is in the middle of reading "Bone" by Jeff Smith! As for me, I am currently reading "Socks From Around the World." I'll let you know if it's good.

Happy New Year to all! I spent my last night of 2004 with my family! My parents and my siblings came to Bubtopia for vacation because it is currently very cold back home. They like the fact that they don't constantly have to wear coats and sweaters here in Bubtopia...just their socks! Anyway, it was nice to spend a special New Year's Eve with them. Happy 2005 to all!

11.1.04 posted 8:34pm
Brrr! It's starting to get chilly out here. I think I'm catching some sort of cold...my nose has been a little bit wetter than usual. Not a good sign! But, this weather gives me an excuse to wear my extra-thick, extra-special socks. They are made of the highest quality wool, but I won't bore you with those details. They do have cute sheep embroidered on them...hee hee.

Holy canoli! Bumperboy met Super Mario at the San Diego Comic-Con!

Mario and Bumperboy!

7.27.04 posted 8:37pm
So, Bumperboy called me from San Diego, California over the weekend. He said he had a blast at the San Diego Comic-Con. He and Bumperpup met a lot of folks, including the Super Mario Brothers! Wow, I wish I were there. Since I missed out on so much, he said he's going to email me some pictures when he gets the chance. Can't wait!

7.13.04 posted 9:58pm
Today, I went to the park to practice my marble shooting. There was a new kid there. I played in the marble ring next to his, and in the corner of my eye, I saw this kid make some really good shots! One might say that he was "wicked awesome" (I learned that phrase from Pow the other day)! I dunno, maybe I'd like to meet that kid someday. I want to be wicked awesome too!

Darnit. Bubtopia's favorite team, the San Jose Sharks, got eliminated from the playoffs yesterday. Everyone is really bummed out! I really got into it this year...it was a lot of fun having gameday parties with the neighbors! I sure hope the Sharks will do even better next year!

4.21.04 posted 10:05pm
Gosh, sorry I haven't written in a while. It's not like I have been super busy or anything. Let's see, what did I do today. I had the most delicious piece of toast today. I did my laundry. Watered the lawn. Umm...what else. Oh, I spoke to Bumperboy on the phone this afternoon. We are planning to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs on TV tomorrow night. I'm not a huge fan, but Bumperboy is. I better brush up on my hockey knowledge. Maybe I will visit NHL.com tonight.

2.10.04 posted 9:32pm
Brrr! It's been cold here in the Land of Bubtopia -- so cold that I've worn out my favorite pair of extra-thick socks. It's too bad because Bumperboy bought them for me all the way from Scandinavia! Maybe he'll go back someday, and then he can buy me some more socks! Speaking of Bumperboy's travels, he tells me he is going to visit Italy in March. Lucky!

1.5.04 posted 9:45pm
Happy New Year, everyone! I was going to spend my New Year's Eve at home, but Bumperboy convinced me to come to Bam's party. It was pretty fun, but I became very tired at around 11:30pm! Bumperpup barked at me to wake up in time for the countdown. It was a good thing, because I even got a peck on the cheek from Pow. So, 2004 is off to a good start for me and I hope for more good things to come. In the meantime, I wish you all a Happy 2004!

The Halloween party at B-boy's house was really fun last night! I ended up dressing as a large slice of cheese. It was the last costume I could find at the Halloween shop. Everyone seemed to like it, including Pow! She was dressed as a beautiful witch. I talked to her for a few minutes, but then she had to leave for another party. But all in all, the party was a blast! Except it was hard to sit in my big cheese costume...

10.22.03 posted 9:21pm
So, Halloween is coming up. Bumperboy is throwing a costume party this year! I'm still not sure what I'm going to dress up as. Maybe a ghost, maybe a skeleton, maybe a vampire...who knows. I wonder who is going to the party. Maybe Pow is going to be there. I ran into her at the marble park last week. It was nice talking to her. Anyway, I better think about my costume more...

08.22.03 posted 8:53pm
Wow-wee! So, I just got back home from marble-shooting practice with Bumperboy and Bumperpup and I found a package in my mailbox. Who was it from? None other than the inventor of Throx! Apparently, he read my blog and sent me a pair of Throx as a way to say thanks! He sent me a set of white socks with a red peppermint swirl on them...I think I will wear them tomorrow! That man is very kind. Not only that, he wrote the screenplay to "Howard the Duck"!

08.01.03 posted 9:26pm
Oh my gosh, I was surfing the internet and I came across www.throx.com. They sell socks: not in pairs, but in threes! So, if you lose one, you'll always have that extra sock on hand! Brilliant, I think I will buy a pair...I mean a triplet.

07.01.03 posted 7:11pm
Phew, it has been pretty hot these last few days. I went to the beach last weekend and a little girl pointed at my socks. She asked me why I was still wearing them. I told her what I always say when people ask me the same question: "I have cold feet." It's a simple fact that most do not understand. Oh well.

05.30.03 posted 10:30pm
Wow, I haven't written for a long time. Sorry. I did receive a picture of Bumperpup from their trip in Amsterdam. Click here if you'd like to see it. Looks like Bumperpup was relaxing in a Dutch bookstore! They told me I would really like that bookstore...gosh, I hope I can go there someday. I wonder what I will do this summer.

I finally got a postcard from Bumperboy! Sheesh, I was getting worried. I can't wait until I see the marble he got me. Anyway, here's the postcard:

Hello everyone. My name is Gordy. This is my first time blogging, so I hope I am doing this right. My best friends, Bumperboy and Bumperpup, are out borping again. I'm not even sure where they are. They didn't tell me before they left. I wonder where they are. (Bboy and Bpup, if you are reading this, where are you?)
